“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain. This quote pretty much sums up everything about traveling for me.. I’m an avid traveler who does it for the love of exploring new cultures, people, civilizations, customs and the world.
It is very rewarding when people approach me through mails or in person asking for permission to borrow some content from my blog for their research publications or a social cause. It makes me feel writing my posts are worthwhile. Cuz traveling for me is not about how many places I have visited. It is about how many things I have learnt about that place. Hence, through my blog, I try my best to explore every small village, city I go to and help people find more info when they are seeking for details for planning a good trip or even writing some content in their thesis or a research publication..
Well.. I choose the name “The Lost Lander” ‘coz it aptly describes me.. I always end up doing things and being at places which might never have been intended when started.. But at the end of it, whatever I do and wherever I end up are the things which make me the person I am..
That said, my name is Hitha, a mechanical engineer by profession, currently working in Bangalore. Hailing from the land of hills and coffee, naturally- I’m a mountain girl and adventure is in my blood.
The waters always excite me- be it swimming in there, chasing a school of fishes, studying the structure of a marine being, rowing a boat, exploring the deep sea or perhaps manning one of those submarines someday 😉
I’m a person who accepts the little things of life the way they come across.. Love listening to music and a travel addict..!! I believe there is so much for us to explore in our immediate surroundings- So that’s what I do whenever possible 🙂

Hi! I stumbled across your site serendipitously. Thank you for the informative and passionate writing. I found you while searching for photos of Shiva and Parvati’s dancing poses near the west entrance of the Chidambaram temple.
Question: Would you know where I could find more photos of the friezes, Ideally, all 108 of them?
